Hall's Vision-Mission-Values Statements |
Dixon Hall is more than an agency; it is a welcoming community of volunteers, participants, staff and Board. In the past year, we have been privileged to meet people from around the world, and their lives have enriched us all. As we reflected on the directions of Dixon Hall for the next few years, we realized that we needed to re-write our Mission, Vision and Values statements to reflect our present reality. After consultations with many of the people involved with Dixon Hall, we have come up with a new set of statements. They read: |
Vision: Good jobs, good health, safe shelter, vibrant cultures - Strong community. |
Mission: We are community partners in creating opportunities for people of all ages to dream, to achieve and to live full and rewarding lives. |
Values: At
Dixon Hall, we value people. Because we value people, we value: |
v Respect v Caring and compassion v Integrity v Accountability v Equity and accessibility v Second chances v Dreams and Possibilities |
| Our
vision statement is the world we are aiming at; a world where everyone
is able to live to their full potential. We want to imagine a time and
place where the strengths of the whole community can be used to support
people in their dreams.
The mission statement talks about Dixon Hall’s role in achieving the vision. Our role is to partner with those in the community. We are able to offer resources and staff to those who will move the vision forward. Our values statement reflects the way we must act to achieve the world we want to see. At Dixon Hall, these values must be lived out every day. Anyone who walks through the door should be able to understand the values through the way we respond to people and situations on a day-to-day basis. All of us deserve second chances in life. Everyone has dreams. And each person offers the possibility of making this community a better place to live. We invite you to join us in this vision; together we will be stronger.
