Calico-YED

Calico-YED (youth entrepreneurial development) has evolved into an entrepreneurial development program, nurturing entrepreneurship by supporting at-risk youth to develop their micro business ideas. Over the course of 30 weeks (twice per year), Calico participants receive comprehensive small business training and assistance. In addition, each participant is matched with a mentor who provides them with continuing feedback and support as they grow their business venture. Youth-at-Risk participants also receive a training allowance to assist them while in the program. Many of Calico graduates are now running their business and enjoying increased economic independence.
