Dixon Hall is a leader; we effect social change by building community capacity, inspiring dreams, growth and possibilities, and tackling problems with bold and innovative solutions. Dixon Hall’s history tells the story of change, and demonstrates our leadership role throughout.

Our history is one of success and since 1929 we have provided innovative responses to our community members’ needs through the delivery of services. Our history shows that we think differently about service delivery and community needs: we put community needs first, and then search for the right funding partner. It means that we provide innovative, timely services that the community has asked for and been involved in developing. It is how we lead.

Compassion

Clients are regularly singling Dixon Hall out among service providers in Toronto for our compassionate, humanistic approach to their problems. We stress an individual’s dignity, worth and capacity for self-actualization. At Dixon Hall clients are treated as all people should be treated, and not as numbers. They are cared for in a dignified, respectful manner, because of our firm belief that everyone deserves a second chance.
